Why I'm writing The Readout
For years, the most useful thinking I do never leaves the room. A deal memo. An argument in a QBR. A founder call that quietly changes how I see a whole market. Most of it ends up in my head, or in a Notion doc nobody opens again.
The Readout is where I write some of it down in the open. Expect short pieces on operating, building with AI, and consumer businesses, plus the occasional thing I got wrong with the lesson attached.
A few rules I'm setting for myself: rough over polished, specific over clever, and honest about what I actually did versus what I wish I had done. If a post needs a disclaimer, it probably needs another draft.
That is the whole idea. Write in public, think a little more clearly for it, and maybe be useful to someone a few steps behind me on the same path.
I read everything. If something here is useful, or wrong, tell me.
